Rebound protection

Our range of rebound protection materials (ContraFlame® F30 and ContraFlame® F40) allows for controlled venting of the cells and protection from the rebounded particles. With that, any venting gasses and particles are controlled.

These materials offer critical protection during extreme events such as battery fires, as well as instances of impact or mechanical shock that occur during operation.

Why AIS?

Cutting edge protection

Our selection of rebound protection materials reduce the risk of internal cell failure and maintain the integrity of the battery system. Customers rely on these materials as they are crucial for maintaining the reliability of batteries in extreme events.

Reduce escalation

Our rebound protection materials help control the spread of fire and hot gasses within the battery module enclosure and are effective in temperatures of up to 1,200 °C

Extensive longevity

Extremely resistant to high-temperature events, our rebound protection materials maintain their effectiveness. This ensures consistent protection whilst extending the longevity of the battery module enclosure.

Rapid application time

The cure speed and the viscosity of the materials can be customised depending on the requirement and it is compatible with potting and injection mass scale processes.
