ContraTherm® C55 manifold insulation
Our customer required an insulation solution for a large manifold for use in a high temperature and high pressure (HTHP) environment. The challenging project schedule demanded an insulation solution to be supplied and installed within 35 days at various locations. This was later revised and our customer requested a reduction in the insulation schedule to help them meet their final completion deadline.

Our years of experience and the adaptability of the material, enabled our team to modify the delivery programme and accelerate various activities on the structure, therefore saving significant time.
Proven material
A hugely reliable material for use at temperatures up to +185°C with a track record spanning decades. The adaptability of a hand applied product is making it particularly suitable for this project.
In-country application team
We used our local application teams in Europe and Angola. Utilising our highly experienced applicators meant that early completion was achieved with all quality and safety standards being maintained.
Solution
For this particular project, our team of experts selected ContraTherm® C55 due to its excellent thermal insulation properties, including its ability to provide protection in high temperature environments up to +185°C. Because ContraTherm® C55 can be hand-applied directly to equipment at customer’s sites, and does not require mould tooling or complex pumping equipment, our team were able to execute our scope of work alongside other activities carried out by the customer.
Results
Following the completion of our scope of work, our customer positively commented on our contribution, particularly on our ability to meet and exceed their challenging schedule, which contributed to the successful delivery of their overall project.
