AIS is proud to announce the sponsorship of SB Frankfort Youth Under 11, 9 -a-side football team playing in the Adrenalin Devon Junior & Minor League.
SB Frankfort is a long-standing well-known football club in the local Plymouth community. There are some incredible managers and coaches that dedicate a lot of their own time to the club. They help young people build confidence and stay healthy while developing important skills from a very young age.
At AIS, we take pride in helping our local community and the idea of sponsoring a football youth club via our Manuplas division is incredibly appealing as it provides so many benefits to young people. From learning to work together to staying active, competitive sports teach children valuable lessons and skills that they'll carry with them throughout life. These skills aren’t just about playing football; they represent teamwork, leadership, communication, social skill development, and a lot more.
SB Frankfort AFC was formed in 1977. From this day the team has continued to grow fast at both youth and senior levels. The team is renowned for being built around an inclusive family-orientated ethos.
Lee Johnson, SB U11 Manager, commented:
“I have been involved with SB Frankfort for 30 years as a player, committee member and now as a manager. The club is based at Weston Mill and Frankfort Park with many teams, male, female and mixed. Though we are a football team we try to also help the children with other aspects of their development. Working as a team, respect, losing and winning is a part of life and if you work hard, you will get the results.
The U11s team has been together for nearly two years. Even after our first season together, our kit was beginning to get small on the players. I reached out to the local community to see if anyone would know a business or company that would be interested in sponsoring the team.
Pete contacted me saying that AIS would be interested in sponsoring the team with a new Match Day kit. This was fantastic news and greatly appreciated as in the current climate money is tight for everyone. Then a complete surprise Pete had a manager’s coat printed with our club badge, my initials and Manuplas on the back to keep me warm and dry.”
Sponsoring the 2022/23 kit is particularly special to the children in the team... it was designed by one of their own players. During the summer holidays, a competition was launched for the children to each produce a design for the kit. The designs were submitted and judged by the team’s manager and coaches.
On Friday evening, our Manuplas team planned and hosted an event at our Plymouth facility. We invited the U11 team members and their families to celebrate the unveiling of the new kit. During the celebration, (and in between the sweet treats), the children signed a copy of the new shirt design that will be framed and proudly hung in the conference room.
It is an honour to be able to sponsor the team and provide their new match day kit with our Manuplas logo proudly displayed across the front and back. Any of the world’s best football players will testify that having a recognisable and professional kit will help a team shape together. We believe the new AIS-sponsored kit will provide the team with that recognisable and professional look, instilling confidence into the players every time they play.
